Best Time to Depart from Delhi-NCR

To avoid heavy morning truck traffic on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway and Hapur stretch, we strongly advise starting by 5:00 AM or 5:30 AM. An early departure allows you to cross the plains smoothly and reach the foothills of Kathgodam by 10:30 AM for an early lunch before the gentle hill ascent.

  • 5:00 AM: Depart Delhi / Noida / Gurgaon
  • 7:30 AM: Breakfast near Gajraula highway food plazas
  • 11:00 AM: Enter foothills at Kathgodam / Bhimtal
  • 1:30 PM: Scenic arrival at The Mukteshwar Bungalow, Kasialekh

Cruising into the Peace of Kasialekh

As you climb past Bhowali toward Kasialekh, the temperature drops noticeably and dense oak, deodar, and rhododendron forests replace crowded roadside stalls. Kasialekh sits along a serene ridge, offering unhindered vistas of the deep valleys below.

Upon arriving at The Mukteshwar Bungalow in Dausapani, pull straight into our secure private driveway, stretch out on the Veranda Lounge, and let the long drive melt away with hot Himalayan ginger tea.

Host Field Note • Kasialekh Ridge

"Early mornings between 6:15 AM and 7:00 AM offer the crispest view of the Himalayan snow peaks across the valley. Take a hot cup of adrak tea out to the Veranda Lounge and watch the peaks turn from cool silver to glowing amber gold."
